Going
back a few decades, Gurgaon was an area marked by its name. Goan in Hindi
translates to “a village” and Gurgaon was an underdeveloped area on the
outskirts of the national capital, New Delhi. What worked mostly in Gurgaon’s
favour was its close proximity to Delhi. As Delhi grew and expanded its scope,
Gurgaon was engulfed in this growth. The development of the areas beyond the
airport, coming up of Dwarka, all played a part in Gurgaon’s surge to the
top.
